Q: Is ACCA a degree or a course?

ACCA is a professional qualification, not a traditional degree. However, it’s globally considered higher than a bachelor’s degree, and many universities offer direct entry into master’s programs for ACCA-qualified students.

Q: Is ACCA recognized in Pakistan?

Absolutely! ACCA is well-recognized across Pakistan. Leading audit firms, banks, and multinational companies hire ACCA professionals regularly including the Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG).

Q: Can I start ACCA after Matric?

Yes! If you’ve completed Matric, you can begin with the Foundation Diploma (FD). It’s the starting point that prepares you for the main ACCA qualification.

Q: What if I’ve completed Intermediate or A-Levels?

If you’ve completed Intermediate, A-Levels, or B.Com, you can start directly with ACCA. You may even be eligible for a few subject exemptions depending on your background.

Q: How many papers are there in ACCA?

There are 13 papers in total (However we have mentioned 15 papers above but from which 2 are optional), divided into three main levels:

  • Applied Knowledge (3 papers)

  • Applied Skills (6 papers)

  • Strategic Professional (4 papers)

You can study and attempt each paper one by one, depending on your pace.

Q: Do I have to take all papers together?

No, not at all! ACCA is completely flexible. You can prepare and appear for exams whenever you’re ready one paper at a time or multiple together.

Q: Is the Foundation Diploma tough for beginners?

Not at all! It’s made for students who are new to accounting. At VCA, we teach from scratch so even if you’re from a non-commerce background, you’ll understand everything easily.

Q: Do I have to take all FD papers together?

No. FD is completely flexible. You can take one paper at a time, or multiple if you feel ready. It’s totally up to you!

Q: Can I study FD online?

Yes, you can study online or on-campus in Sialkot. Both options offer live classes, recorded lectures, and personal guidance.

Q: Is FD better than doing Intermediate or I.Com?

If you want to build a career in accounting or finance, then yes FD is a better, faster, and globally recognized route. It directly leads you into ACCA, while Intermediate or I.Com do not.

Q: What happens after I finish FD?

After completing FD, you’ll automatically move to ACCA and get exemptions from the first three ACCA papers. It’s your next big step toward becoming a globally recognized Chartered Certified Accountant.
